Welcome to Indigo Kennels, a newer yet deeply dedicated home-based preservation breeding program focused on the excellence of Toy and Miniature Poodles. As a small, intentional breeder, we plan only 1–3 carefully selected litters per year, allowing us to prioritize quality, purpose, and the future of the breed. Our mission is to preserve the health, structure, temperament, and elegance that define the true Poodle, while offering a personalized and thoughtful experience for every family.

We are committed to giving every puppy the best possible start. We follow Puppy Culture protocols, paired with our own proven methods of desensitization, socialization, confidence building, early housebreaking, and crate training. Each puppy is raised in our home with love, structure, and meaningful enrichment to help them grow into well-rounded, confident companions.

All of our breeding dogs are fully health tested, meeting or exceeding breed-recommended standards. We proudly offer lifetime breeder support for every puppy we place, ensuring our families always have guidance, resources, and a trusted partner throughout their dog’s life.

We are actively involved in training and competing in conformation, steeplechase, rally obedience, therapy work, and trick training. At Indigo Kennels, our Poodles are bred not only for their intelligence and athleticism, but also for their calm, grounded nature within the home. They have the drive to perform—and the “off switch” that makes them exceptional companions above all.

Why a Poodle?
Poodles are known for their exceptional intelligence, trainability, and affectionate nature—making them one of the most versatile and rewarding breeds to own. They are non-shedding and hypoallergenic, which makes them a great choice for allergy-sensitive households or those who prefer a cleaner home environment.

One of the poodle's greatest strengths is their adaptability. Whether you’re a senior looking for a calm, loving companion or an active individual interested in hiking or dog sports, a poodle can match your lifestyle and energy level with ease. They’re eager to please, quick to learn, and thrive on human interaction.

Poodles can be groomed into a wide variety of styles—ranging from low-maintenance trims to show-stopping cuts—so you can choose a look that suits your preferences and lifestyle. Their smaller size (especially Miniature or Toy Poodles) makes them more manageable than their Standard counterparts, and ideal for condo or apartment living.

While they enjoy daily walks and playtime, poodles do not require a large backyard to be happy. As long as they’re included in your daily life and given mental and physical enrichment, they will thrive.
